Senior Technical Consultant-Security Intel & Operations Consulting Svcs
An opportunity is available for a Senior Technical Consultant to support security intelligence and operations consulting services across complex, technology-led environments. This role will suit an experienced security professional who can combine strategic thinking with practical delivery, advising clients on how to strengthen their security posture, improve operational resilience and respond effectively to evolving threats.
You will lead and contribute to consulting engagements from discovery through to implementation and review. Responsibilities will include assessing existing security capabilities, identifying risks and control gaps, developing target operating models, and producing clear, actionable recommendations. You will help design and improve security operations processes, including incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, security monitoring and continuous improvement. The role will also involve developing technical documentation, presentations, reports and executive-level briefings.
Working with technical and non-technical stakeholders, you will facilitate workshops, gather requirements and translate business priorities into practical security solutions. You may be required to support the evaluation and implementation of security tools, review operating procedures, define performance measures and help clients establish sustainable governance frameworks. As a senior member of the consulting team, you will provide guidance to colleagues, contribute to proposals and methodologies, and help maintain strong client relationships.
Applicants should have substantial experience in cybersecurity consulting, security operations, technical assurance or a closely related discipline. Strong knowledge of security operations centres, threat intelligence, incident management, risk assessment and recognised security frameworks is expected. Experience with cloud security, SIEM platforms, automation, detection engineering or security service transformation would be advantageous. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to present complex technical information clearly to varied audiences.
A relevant degree or professional qualification is desirable, together with certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, SABSA or equivalent. The successful candidate will be analytical, commercially aware and comfortable working independently while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams. Some travel may be required, and candidates may need to meet relevant background screening or security clearance requirements.
