We are seeking an Associate Cyber Security Analyst to support the protection of systems, networks, applications and data against evolving cyber threats. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career security professional to develop practical experience across monitoring, investigation, vulnerability management and incident response. Working as part of a collaborative security function, you will help maintain effective controls and contribute to the continuous improvement of the organisation’s cyber resilience.

Key responsibilities will include monitoring security alerts and event logs, triaging potential incidents, conducting initial investigations and escalating issues in line with established procedures. You will assist with vulnerability scanning, remediation tracking, access reviews, endpoint security checks and the maintenance of security documentation. The role will also involve supporting phishing investigations, threat intelligence activities, security awareness initiatives and the preparation of reports and metrics for relevant stakeholders. You will be expected to follow policies and playbooks accurately while identifying opportunities to improve processes, automation and operational efficiency.

Applicants should have a foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles, including common attack methods, network security, identity and access management, malware, vulnerability management and incident response. Experience using security monitoring, ticketing, endpoint protection or vulnerability management tools would be beneficial, as would familiarity with SIEM platforms, cloud environments and frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001. Relevant qualifications, certifications or practical experience gained through study, placements, laboratories or personal projects are welcome. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, clear written and verbal communication, and a willingness to learn are essential. The successful candidate will be able to manage competing priorities, handle sensitive information responsibly and work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
