We are seeking a Data Engineer – Security & Intelligence to design, build and maintain reliable data solutions that support security operations, intelligence analysis and informed decision-making. You will work with large, complex and sensitive datasets, developing secure data pipelines and platforms that enable the efficient collection, processing, integration and analysis of information from multiple sources. Your responsibilities will include developing and optimising batch and real-time data pipelines; integrating structured and unstructured data from internal and external sources; designing scalable data models, warehouses and lakehouse solutions; and implementing robust processes for data validation, lineage, governance and access control. You will work closely with analysts, software engineers, security specialists and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions. You will also monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, automate operational tasks and contribute to continuous improvements in engineering standards, documentation and deployment practices.

The successful candidate will have professional experience in data engineering, software development or a closely related discipline, with strong skills in Python, SQL and modern data-processing technologies. Experience with cloud platforms, distributed systems, orchestration tools, APIs, streaming technologies and infrastructure-as-code would be valuable. You should understand secure development principles, database design, testing, version control and CI/CD, and be comfortable working with confidential or security-sensitive information. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly, manage competing priorities and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. A proactive approach, attention to detail and commitment to ethical, responsible use of data are highly valued.
