Senior Manager, Security Threat, Vulnerability and Testing (m/f/d)
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Security Threat, Vulnerability and Testing to lead the strategic development and operational delivery of enterprise-wide cybersecurity activities. In this role, you will oversee threat management, vulnerability identification and remediation, security testing, and risk-based assurance across applications, infrastructure, cloud environments and business processes. You will establish effective governance, standards and reporting mechanisms that provide clear visibility of the organisation’s security posture and support informed decision-making at senior level.
Your responsibilities will include managing and developing teams responsible for threat intelligence, vulnerability management, penetration testing, red teaming, security assessments and control validation. You will define testing strategies, prioritise activities according to business risk, and ensure that findings are accurately documented, communicated and remediated within agreed timeframes. Working closely with technology, engineering, risk, compliance and business stakeholders, you will advise on emerging threats, security weaknesses and appropriate mitigation measures. You will also support incident preparedness by contributing to threat-led exercises, attack simulations and lessons-learned reviews, while continuously improving processes, tooling, automation and performance metrics.
The successful candidate will bring significant experience in cybersecurity leadership, with a strong background in threat and vulnerability management, penetration testing and security assurance. You will have experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing external security partners and presenting complex technical matters to executive and non-technical audiences. A sound understanding of common security frameworks and standards, cloud security, application security, infrastructure technologies and modern attack techniques is essential. Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, OSCP, OSCE, GIAC or equivalent are advantageous. Strong communication, influencing, analytical and organisational skills are required, together with a pragmatic, collaborative approach and the ability to balance security, operational resilience, regulatory expectations and business objectives.
