Your responsibilities will include triaging and investigating alerts from SIEM, endpoint detection and response, identity and vulnerability management platforms; assessing potential threats and documenting findings; escalating incidents in line with established procedures; and supporting containment, remediation and post-incident reviews. You will contribute to the development and tuning of detection rules, playbooks and operational processes, while maintaining accurate case records and producing clear reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders. The role may also involve threat hunting, vulnerability tracking, security control validation, phishing investigations and participation in an out-of-hours incident response rota.

Applicants should have practical experience in a security operations, incident response, SOC or closely related role, with a sound understanding of common attack techniques, security principles and incident management practices. Familiarity with SIEM platforms, EDR tools, Microsoft security technologies, cloud environments, networking, authentication and log analysis is highly desirable. Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, Blue Team Level 1, SC-200 or equivalent experience would be advantageous. You should be analytical, methodical and able to prioritise effectively under pressure, with strong written and verbal communication skills. A commitment to continuous learning, attention to detail and the ability to work constructively with colleagues across technology and the wider business are essential.
