Information Security Manager - AI
We are seeking an experienced Information Security Manager – AI to lead the development and implementation of security practices for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data-driven technology initiatives. This role will help ensure that AI solutions are designed, deployed, and operated in accordance with applicable security, privacy, regulatory, and ethical requirements. You will work closely with technology, data, risk, legal, compliance, and business teams to identify risks and establish practical controls throughout the AI lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include defining and maintaining an AI security strategy, policies, standards, and governance frameworks; conducting threat modelling, risk assessments, and security reviews for AI systems and related infrastructure; and advising project teams on secure architecture, data protection, access management, encryption, vulnerability management, logging, monitoring, and incident response. You will assess risks associated with issues such as prompt injection, model manipulation, data poisoning, sensitive data leakage, insecure integrations, supply-chain dependencies, and unauthorised model use. The role will also involve supporting third-party assessments, audit activities, control testing, security awareness, and the continuous improvement of AI risk management processes.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in information security, cybersecurity, technology risk, or a related discipline, together with practical knowledge of AI and machine learning security concepts. Experience with security governance frameworks, secure software development, cloud environments, privacy principles, and relevant regulatory expectations is highly desirable. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent qualifications would be advantageous. You should be able to translate complex technical risks into clear business recommendations, influence stakeholders at all levels, and balance robust security controls with innovation and operational needs. Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently in a changing and collaborative environment.
