Information Security Manager - AI
We are seeking an experienced Information Security Manager – AI to lead the development and implementation of security practices for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data-driven technologies. This role will help establish a secure-by-design approach across the AI lifecycle, from research and development through deployment, monitoring, and retirement. You will work closely with technology, product, data, legal, risk, and compliance teams to identify threats, strengthen controls, and support the responsible use of AI.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining AI security policies, standards, procedures, and governance frameworks; conducting security and privacy risk assessments for AI systems, models, data pipelines, and third-party platforms; and defining controls to address issues such as data leakage, model manipulation, prompt injection, adversarial attacks, unauthorised access, supply-chain risk, and insecure integrations. You will coordinate vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, threat modelling, incident response planning, and security reviews, ensuring that findings are prioritised and remediated effectively. The role will also involve monitoring regulatory and industry developments, advising senior stakeholders, and preparing clear risk and performance reports.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in information security, cybersecurity, technology risk, or a related discipline, with practical knowledge of AI and machine learning security concepts. You should be familiar with recognised security frameworks and standards, secure software development, cloud security, identity and access management, data protection, and incident management. Experience creating governance processes, influencing cross-functional teams, and translating complex technical risks into practical business recommendations is essential. Relevant professional certifications in information security, risk, privacy, cloud, or AI are advantageous. Strong communication, analytical, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills are required, together with the ability to operate effectively in a rapidly evolving environment.
