Cyber Security Consultant

We are seeking a Cyber Security Consultant to help organisations strengthen their security posture, manage evolving risks and protect critical systems, data and services. In this role, you will work with stakeholders across technology and business functions to assess security requirements, identify vulnerabilities and recommend practical, risk-based improvements. You will contribute to a varied portfolio of client engagements, supporting both strategic advisory work and hands-on security initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include conducting security assessments, risk reviews and compliance gap analyses; developing and maintaining security policies, standards and procedures; and advising on secure architecture, identity and access management, cloud security, vulnerability management and incident preparedness. You will produce clear reports and remediation plans, present findings to technical and non-technical audiences, and help clients prioritise actions based on business impact. You may also support security testing, third-party risk assessments, incident response activities and the implementation of security controls aligned with recognised frameworks and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will have professional experience in cyber security consulting, information security, risk management or a related discipline, together with a strong understanding of security principles, threat landscapes and industry best practice. Experience with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls or similar is desirable. Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, Security+ or equivalent, would be advantageous. You should be an analytical and confident communicator who can manage competing priorities, build trusted relationships and explain complex issues clearly. A collaborative approach, strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning are essential.
