Cyber Security Consultant - Dionach by Nomios
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Consultant to help clients identify, assess and reduce information security risks across their people, processes and technology. You will work with organisations from a range of sectors, providing practical, risk-based advice and supporting the delivery of security improvement programmes. This is a client-facing role requiring strong communication skills, sound technical judgement and the ability to translate complex security issues into clear business recommendations.
Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering security assessments, reviewing governance and risk management arrangements, evaluating policies and controls, and identifying opportunities to strengthen cyber resilience. You may contribute to activities such as security maturity assessments, gap analyses, compliance reviews, risk assessments, incident readiness exercises and the development of security strategies or roadmaps. You will produce high-quality reports and presentations, explain findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and work collaboratively with clients to agree practical remediation plans. You may also support the preparation of proposals, contribute to internal knowledge sharing and help develop repeatable consulting methods and tools.
Applicants should have professional experience in cyber security, information security, risk, governance or a related consulting environment, together with a good understanding of recognised security frameworks, standards and regulations. Experience with standards such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls or comparable approaches would be beneficial. Relevant professional qualifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer, are desirable, although equivalent practical experience will be considered. You should be analytical, organised and confident working independently or as part of a team, with the flexibility to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities. A commitment to delivering impartial, high-quality advice and maintaining strong client relationships is essential. Occasional travel may be required, depending on project needs.
