Cyber Security Consultant (UK) - Dionach by Nomios
We are seeking a Cyber Security Consultant to help organisations identify, manage and reduce cyber security risks across their people, processes and technology. This role will involve working with a range of clients in the UK, providing practical, risk-based advice and supporting the delivery of security improvement programmes. You will contribute to engagements from initial scoping and assessment through to reporting, remediation planning and client presentation.
Key responsibilities will include conducting cyber security assessments, gap analyses, risk assessments and maturity reviews against recognised frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, NIST and CIS Controls. You will help develop security policies, procedures, risk registers, improvement roadmaps and executive-level reports, translating technical findings into clear business recommendations. The role may also involve supporting governance, risk and compliance activities, third-party risk reviews, security architecture assessments, incident readiness exercises and audit preparation. Building trusted relationships with clients and collaborating effectively with internal technical specialists will be an important part of the position.
Applicants should have professional experience in cyber security consulting, information security, risk management, governance or a closely related discipline. A strong understanding of security principles, control frameworks, regulatory expectations and common cyber threats is essential, together with the ability to communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience delivering client-facing projects, writing high-quality reports and managing competing priorities would be highly valued. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor, CREST, CHECK or equivalent qualifications are desirable. You should be analytical, commercially aware and comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team. The role may require occasional travel within the UK and the ability to work flexibly across client sites and remote environments.
