We are seeking a motivated Junior Cyber Security Consultant to join a growing information security team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their cyber security career to develop practical consulting experience while supporting clients in improving their security posture. You will work alongside experienced consultants across a range of engagements, gaining exposure to cyber risk, governance, compliance, security assessments and incident preparedness.

Your responsibilities will include assisting with cyber security reviews, control assessments and risk evaluations; gathering and analysing technical and business information; documenting findings and preparing clear client reports; and supporting the development of practical remediation plans. You may also contribute to policy and procedure reviews, security awareness activities, vulnerability management, audit preparation and regulatory compliance projects. The role will involve communicating with stakeholders, tracking actions through to completion and staying informed about emerging threats, technologies and industry good practice.

Applicants should have a genuine interest in cyber security and a degree, qualification or equivalent experience in cyber security, information technology, computer science or a related discipline. Some understanding of security frameworks, risk management, networking, cloud environments and common cyber threats would be beneficial. Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, ISO 27001 Foundation or another recognised entry-level qualification, are desirable but not essential. You should be analytical, organised and keen to learn, with strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to explain technical concepts clearly, work collaboratively and maintain a professional approach when handling sensitive information is essential. Training, mentoring and opportunities for professional development will be provided.
