You will provide strategic direction, challenge risk owners and promote a strong security culture across the organisation.
Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining the cyber security and information risk strategy, overseeing security governance, and establishing appropriate policies, standards and control frameworks. You will lead enterprise risk assessments, advise senior stakeholders on cyber threats and mitigation plans, and monitor the effectiveness of technical and organisational controls. We are looking for a collaborative security leader with significant experience in cyber security, technology risk, information assurance or a related discipline, ideally gained within a complex or highly regulated environment. You should have a strong understanding of recognised security and risk frameworks, UK data protection requirements, operational resilience and emerging cyber threats. Relevant professional qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or equivalent would be advantageous. Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential, as you will need to translate technical issues into clear business outcomes and work effectively with technical teams, control functions, suppliers and senior decision-makers. A pragmatic, analytical and proactive approach, combined with the ability to lead programmes and manage competing priorities, will be key to success.
