We are seeking an experienced Cyber Technology Risk Lead to strengthen the effectiveness of cyber risk management across a complex, digitally enabled organisation. This role will provide trusted challenge, assurance and practical advice to senior stakeholders, helping teams identify, assess and manage technology and information security risks in line with organisational priorities, regulatory expectations and recognised industry standards.

You will lead reviews of cyber and technology controls, assess the design and operating effectiveness of risk management processes, and provide clear recommendations for improvement. Responsibilities will include developing risk-based assurance plans; evaluating control frameworks, policies and procedures; analysing findings, incidents and emerging threats; monitoring remediation activity; and producing concise reports for senior governance forums. You will work closely with technology, security, audit, compliance and delivery teams to ensure risks are understood, appropriately owned and managed to an acceptable level. As an engagement-focused leader, you will build productive relationships across technical and non-technical communities, communicate complex issues in an accessible way and influence action without relying solely on formal authority. You will be comfortable operating in a changing environment, balancing strategic oversight with sufficient technical understanding to challenge constructively. We are looking for experience in cyber security, technology risk, assurance, internal controls or a related discipline, together with a strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, control testing and governance. Experience of working with senior leaders, presenting evidence-based recommendations and delivering assurance across large or complex environments is essential. Relevant professional qualifications or demonstrable equivalent experience are welcome. You should be analytical, collaborative, organised and confident in turning insight into measurable improvements in risk management and organisational resilience.
