Global Security – Red Team Operator - X-Force Red

Reference: odo2elk90klm6k33b4as

We are seeking an experienced Red Team Operator to help assess and strengthen the security of complex environments, applications, infrastructure and connected technologies. In this role, you will plan and execute authorised adversary simulation engagements that replicate realistic cyber threats, identify weaknesses across people, processes and technology, and provide practical recommendations to improve resilience. You will work with clients and internal stakeholders to define objectives, rules of engagement, testing boundaries and success criteria before each engagement.

Your responsibilities will include conducting network, web application, cloud, wireless, physical security and social engineering assessments, using both established techniques and creative approaches to emulate sophisticated threat actors. You will research targets, develop attack paths, safely bypass defensive controls where authorised, maintain clear operational records and protect sensitive information throughout each engagement. You will also collaborate with security operations and engineering teams to validate detections, evaluate response capabilities and support purple team activities. Following each assessment, you will produce accurate, well-structured reports that explain findings, business impact, evidence, attack narratives and prioritised remediation guidance, as well as present results to technical and executive audiences.

Applicants should have hands-on experience in penetration testing, red teaming, adversary emulation or a closely related security discipline, together with strong knowledge of common attack frameworks, vulnerabilities, defensive technologies and threat intelligence. Proficiency with scripting or programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash or similar is desirable, as is experience with cloud platforms, Active Directory, identity systems, security tooling and modern exploitation techniques. Relevant professional certifications are advantageous, but demonstrable capability and sound judgement are equally valued. You must be able to work independently and collaboratively, communicate complex findings clearly, adapt to changing scenarios and operate with discretion, professionalism and a strong commitment to authorised, ethical security testing. Travel or flexible working hours may occasionally be required to support client engagements.
