Vulnerability Response Manager
We are seeking an experienced Vulnerability Response Manager to lead the identification, assessment, prioritisation and remediation of security vulnerabilities across a complex technology environment. This role will oversee the end-to-end vulnerability management lifecycle, ensuring that emerging threats are rapidly understood and that appropriate actions are coordinated across infrastructure, applications, cloud platforms and third-party services. You will act as a trusted security adviser to technology and business stakeholders, helping to reduce risk while enabling resilient and effective operations.
Responsibilities will include developing and continuously improving vulnerability management processes, policies and service standards; managing vulnerability scanning, validation and reporting activities; and maintaining accurate risk-based remediation plans. You will analyse vulnerability intelligence, exploitability information and asset criticality to set appropriate priorities and deadlines. The role will coordinate remediation activity with infrastructure, engineering, application, cloud and service delivery teams, monitor progress against agreed service levels, and provide clear reporting to senior leadership. You will also lead investigations into recurring issues, support vulnerability exception and risk-acceptance processes, contribute to incident response where vulnerabilities are exploited, and promote secure-by-design practices through education and stakeholder engagement.
Applicants should have substantial experience in vulnerability management, cyber security operations, security engineering or a related discipline, together with a strong understanding of common vulnerabilities, attack techniques, patch management and risk assessment frameworks. Experience with vulnerability scanning and security monitoring platforms, cloud environments, application security and remediation tracking tools is highly desirable. You will be confident interpreting technical findings and communicating their business impact to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong organisational, analytical and influencing skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively across multiple teams. Relevant professional certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, GIAC or equivalent experience, would be advantageous.
