We are seeking a Cyber Response and Recovery – Assistant Manager (Proactive) to strengthen organisational resilience against cyber threats. This role will focus on preparing for, preventing and reducing the impact of cyber incidents through effective planning, testing and continuous improvement. You will work closely with cybersecurity, technology, risk, compliance, business continuity and operational teams to ensure the organisation is ready to respond to disruption and recover critical services safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining cyber incident response, recovery and crisis management plans; coordinating tabletop exercises, simulations and technical recovery tests; documenting lessons learned and tracking remediation actions; and supporting the assessment of cyber risks, dependencies, recovery objectives and service impacts. The successful candidate will have experience in cyber incident response, operational resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery, technology risk or a related discipline. You will understand security operations, incident lifecycle management, recovery methodologies and the interdependencies between people, processes, technology and suppliers. Experience designing or facilitating exercises, working with technical and non-technical audiences, and managing actions through to completion is highly desirable. Strong analytical, communication and influencing skills are essential, together with the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations and organise competing priorities. Relevant professional qualifications in cybersecurity, information technology, risk, business continuity or service management would be advantageous. A proactive mindset, attention to detail and commitment to continual improvement are key to success in this position.
