Cyber Security Manager

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Manager to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of an organisation-wide cyber security programme. This role will be responsible for protecting information, systems and services from evolving threats while supporting secure business growth. You will provide strategic direction on security risk, governance and resilience, working closely with technology, compliance, operational and senior leadership teams.

Key responsibilities will include maintaining cyber security policies, standards and procedures; overseeing vulnerability management, threat monitoring, incident response and security investigations; and ensuring that appropriate controls are implemented across infrastructure, applications, cloud services and third-party suppliers. You will manage risk assessments, security audits and compliance activities, prepare clear reports for senior stakeholders, and develop remediation plans where weaknesses are identified. The role will also involve coordinating penetration testing, supporting business continuity and disaster recovery planning, and promoting security awareness through training and engagement across the organisation.

Applicants should have substantial experience in cyber security, information security or a related discipline, including experience managing security risks and responding to incidents. A strong understanding of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST or CIS is required, together with knowledge of data protection, access management, vulnerability management, cloud security and security monitoring technologies. Relevant professional qualifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC or equivalent experience, are desirable. You will need excellent communication and influencing skills, sound judgement, strong analytical ability and the confidence to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences. A proactive, collaborative approach and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential.
