VodafoneThree - AI Security & Vulnerability Automation Lead
We are seeking an AI Security & Vulnerability Automation Lead to shape and deliver a modern, intelligence-led approach to cyber security. This role will lead the development of automated capabilities that identify, assess, prioritise and remediate vulnerabilities across complex technology environments. You will combine expertise in application, infrastructure and cloud security with practical knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning and security automation to improve risk visibility and accelerate remediation.
Key responsibilities will include defining the strategy and roadmap for AI-enabled vulnerability management; designing automated workflows for asset discovery, scanning, risk scoring, ticket creation and remediation tracking; and integrating security tooling with service management, cloud, DevOps and operational platforms. You will evaluate emerging AI technologies, establish appropriate controls for their secure and responsible use, and ensure that solutions are explainable, resilient and aligned with relevant security standards. The role will also involve leading proof-of-concepts through to production, measuring effectiveness through meaningful metrics, and continuously improving processes based on threat intelligence, operational data and stakeholder feedback. You will work closely with engineering, infrastructure, application, risk and compliance teams, while providing technical guidance and mentoring to colleagues.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in cyber security, vulnerability management, security engineering or a related discipline, together with a strong understanding of enterprise technology and cloud environments. You should be confident working with vulnerability scanners, APIs, scripting and automation tools, and have experience with platforms such as Python, PowerShell, CI/CD pipelines, security orchestration or service management systems. Knowledge of AI security, large language models, prompt engineering, model risk, data protection and secure software development would be highly advantageous. Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills are essential, as is the ability to translate complex technical risks into clear business outcomes. Relevant professional certifications or equivalent practical experience are welcome.
