Security Project Manager UK
We are seeking an experienced Security Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of security-related projects across a complex UK environment. This role will be responsible for managing projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and in line with agreed quality, governance and security standards. You will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, suppliers and senior leaders to define objectives, establish delivery plans and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities will include developing project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers and governance documentation; coordinating resources and dependencies; tracking milestones and managing change controls; and providing accurate progress reporting to stakeholders. You will identify and resolve issues, escalate risks where appropriate and ensure that project outcomes support organisational security objectives. The role may cover areas such as cyber security, physical security, access control, security operations, compliance, infrastructure or technology transformation. You will also support the development of processes, standards and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that relevant regulatory, contractual and internal requirements are considered throughout delivery.
Applicants should have proven experience managing security, technology or transformation projects within a structured environment, together with a strong understanding of project governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement. Experience working with security frameworks, information assurance, cyber security controls or regulatory requirements would be advantageous. A recognised project management qualification, such as PRINCE2, APM or equivalent practical experience, is desirable. You will need excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels. The ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and deliver through collaboration is essential. This position is based in the UK and may involve occasional travel to operational or project locations.
