Associate AI Security Specialist
We are seeking an Associate AI Security Specialist to support the protection of artificial intelligence systems, data, and services throughout their development and operational lifecycle. In this role, you will work with security, engineering, data, and compliance teams to identify risks associated with machine learning models, generative AI tools, automation platforms, and related infrastructure. You will contribute to practical security assessments and help ensure that AI solutions are designed and operated responsibly.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with threat modelling, risk assessments, vulnerability reviews, and security testing for AI applications and supporting technologies. You will help assess risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, model manipulation, insecure integrations, unauthorised access, and misuse of AI-generated content. You will support the development and maintenance of security controls, standards, procedures, and guidance, while helping to monitor emerging threats and regulatory expectations. The role will also involve documenting findings, tracking remediation activities, preparing reports, and supporting incident investigations involving AI systems. You may contribute to security awareness initiatives and advise project teams on secure development and deployment practices.
The successful candidate will have an understanding of information security principles, risk management, identity and access management, secure software development, and cloud or enterprise technology environments. Familiarity with artificial intelligence, machine learning concepts, large language models, model governance, or common AI security frameworks is desirable. Experience with security testing, scripting, data analysis, or tools used for monitoring and assessment would be advantageous. You should be analytical, curious, and comfortable translating technical risks into clear recommendations for varied audiences. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach are essential. Relevant qualifications or practical experience in cybersecurity, computer science, data technology, or a related discipline are welcomed, alongside a willingness to continue developing specialist expertise in this rapidly evolving field.
