AI Security Specialist
We are seeking an AI Security Specialist to help protect artificial intelligence systems, machine-learning workflows, data, and supporting infrastructure from emerging and conventional cyber threats. In this role, you will assess the security of AI models and applications throughout their lifecycle, from design and development through deployment and ongoing monitoring. You will work closely with engineering, data science, platform, risk, and compliance teams to identify vulnerabilities, strengthen controls, and promote secure-by-design practices.
Your responsibilities will include conducting threat modelling and security reviews for AI solutions; evaluating risks such as prompt injection, data poisoning, model extraction, adversarial manipulation, sensitive information disclosure, supply-chain compromise, and unauthorised access; and designing appropriate preventive, detective, and corrective controls. You will develop and maintain security standards, testing methodologies, and technical guidance for AI development and operations. The role will also involve performing vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, red-team exercises, and code or configuration reviews across models, APIs, data pipelines, cloud platforms, and related services. You will support incident investigations, contribute to response and recovery activities, and monitor changes in the threat landscape to recommend timely improvements.
The successful candidate will have professional experience in cybersecurity, application security, cloud security, or a related discipline, with practical knowledge of machine-learning architectures and AI security risks. Experience with secure software development, identity and access management, network controls, encryption, containerisation, CI/CD pipelines, and security monitoring is expected. Familiarity with recognised security frameworks and standards, as well as programming or scripting skills in languages such as Python, will be advantageous. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities are essential, together with the confidence to explain complex risks to both technical and non-technical audiences. Relevant industry certifications or formal qualifications in cybersecurity, computer science, or a comparable field are desirable.
