Security Consulting Manager - Financial Services

We are seeking a Security Consulting Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality cybersecurity advisory services across the financial services sector. This role will work with banking, insurance, investment, and payments clients to understand their business objectives, assess security risks, and develop practical strategies that strengthen resilience and support regulatory obligations. You will manage engagements from initial scoping through to completion, ensuring that work is delivered to a consistently high standard, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities will include leading security assessments, maturity reviews, risk and control evaluations, regulatory readiness programmes, and technology transformation initiatives. You will advise clients on areas such as governance, operating models, identity and access management, cloud security, third-party risk, incident response, data protection, and cyber resilience. The role will involve producing clear reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders, facilitating workshops, presenting findings to executive audiences, and translating complex technical matters into practical business outcomes. You will also contribute to proposals, develop new client relationships, identify opportunities for further support, and oversee the delivery of work by consultants and analysts.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience in cybersecurity, information security, technology risk, or a related consulting environment, ideally supporting organisations within financial services. A strong understanding of relevant regulatory expectations, security frameworks, and industry good practice is essential, along with experience managing client engagements and leading multidisciplinary teams. Professional qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, or equivalent are desirable. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, commercial awareness, and analytical skills are required. You should be confident working with senior decision-makers, comfortable operating in a changing environment, and able to balance strategic thinking with practical delivery.
