Lead Communication Security Manager

We are seeking an experienced Lead Communication Security Manager to provide strategic direction and operational leadership across communication security, information protection and secure collaboration services. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of security controls that protect voice, video, messaging, email and other communication platforms from cyber threats, data loss and unauthorised access. You will assess emerging risks, define security requirements and ensure that communication technologies are designed, configured and operated in line with relevant policies, standards and regulatory obligations.

You will manage a team of security specialists and work closely with technology, risk, compliance, infrastructure and business stakeholders to deliver resilient communication services. Key responsibilities include maintaining the communication security roadmap; overseeing vulnerability assessments, threat modelling and security testing; coordinating incident response and remediation; reviewing supplier and third-party security arrangements; and producing clear risk reports for senior leadership. You will also establish security metrics, improve operational processes, support audits and ensure that lessons learned from incidents and assurance activities are translated into practical improvements. The role may involve contributing to business continuity planning, secure architecture reviews and the development of security awareness guidance for users.

Applicants should have substantial experience in cyber security, information assurance or a related discipline, with a strong background in securing enterprise communication and collaboration environments. You will bring sound knowledge of identity and access management, encryption, network security, endpoint protection, data classification and security monitoring. Experience leading teams, programmes or complex security initiatives is essential, together with the ability to influence stakeholders and explain technical risks in clear business terms. Relevant professional certifications or equivalent practical experience are desirable. A structured, collaborative and proactive approach is important, as is the ability to prioritise effectively, make informed decisions and remain calm when managing high-impact security issues.
