Assistant Manager - SOC Reporting
We are seeking an Assistant Manager – SOC Reporting to support the delivery of high-quality System and Organisation Controls (SOC) reporting engagements. This role will suit an experienced assurance, risk, internal audit or controls professional who can manage multiple assignments, build trusted relationships and provide practical insight to a varied client base.
You will assist with planning and delivering SOC 1 and SOC 2 engagements, including understanding business processes, assessing control environments and reviewing evidence against relevant criteria. Responsibilities will include coordinating fieldwork, monitoring progress against agreed timelines, identifying control gaps and supporting the preparation of clear, accurate and well-structured reports.
The role will involve regular communication with stakeholders at different levels. You will help clarify requirements, discuss findings, track remediation activity and present observations in a constructive manner. You will also support the review of work completed by junior team members, contribute to coaching and development, and help ensure that assignments meet professional, regulatory and internal quality standards.
Applicants should have experience in controls assurance, external or internal audit, risk management, compliance or a related discipline. Knowledge of SOC reporting frameworks, IT controls, business process controls or recognised assurance standards would be advantageous. Professional qualifications, or progress towards qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CISA, CIA or a similar certification, are desirable.
You will need strong analytical and report-writing skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex information. The successful candidate will be organised, commercially aware and confident working with limited supervision, while also contributing effectively within a collaborative team. The ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and communicate technical matters clearly to non-specialist audiences is essential.
This is an opportunity to develop your assurance career in a role offering exposure to a broad range of controls, industries and stakeholder groups. Flexible working arrangements may be available, with occasional travel required depending on assignment needs.
