IAM Consultant
We are seeking an experienced IAM Consultant to support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of identity and access management solutions across a complex technology environment. You will work closely with security, infrastructure, application, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure that users, systems, and services have secure and appropriate access. The role will involve assessing current capabilities, identifying risks and opportunities, and translating business and regulatory requirements into practical IAM strategies and solutions.
Key responsibilities will include gathering and documenting requirements; designing identity lifecycle, joiner-mover-leaver, authentication, authorisation, and privileged access processes; and supporting the implementation and integration of IAM platforms. You will contribute to the configuration and optimisation of technologies such as SSO, MFA, directory services, role-based access control, access governance, and privileged access management solutions. You will also help define operating procedures, controls, and standards, support access reviews and audit activities, investigate incidents, and produce clear technical and management documentation. The role may include coordinating delivery with internal teams and external partners, monitoring progress, and providing guidance on best practice and risk reduction.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in an IAM, cybersecurity, information security, or related consulting role, with a strong understanding of identity governance, access management principles, and security controls. Experience delivering IAM projects from discovery through implementation and transition is highly desirable, along with knowledge of cloud and hybrid environments, directory technologies, and common authentication protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect. You should be comfortable analysing complex requirements, communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences, and producing high-quality documentation. Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and organisational skills are essential. Relevant professional certifications in cybersecurity, IAM, cloud security, or service management would be advantageous.
