Security Triage Analyst

Reference: cia9vxw576n553ncetid

We are seeking a Security Triage Analyst to assess, prioritise, and coordinate responses to suspected security incidents across a complex technology environment. You will act as a key point of contact for alerts and reported concerns, determining whether activity represents a genuine threat, a false positive, or requires further investigation. Working closely with security operations, infrastructure, application, and risk teams, you will help ensure that potential incidents are handled quickly, consistently, and in line with established procedures.

Your responsibilities will include monitoring and reviewing security alerts from SIEM, endpoint, identity, network, email, and vulnerability management tools; performing initial analysis of suspicious activity; gathering and preserving relevant evidence; documenting findings and response actions; and escalating incidents according to severity and business impact. You will support containment and remediation activities, maintain accurate case records, identify recurring patterns, and contribute to post-incident reviews. The role will also involve refining triage processes, improving alert quality, developing knowledge articles and playbooks, and helping identify opportunities to automate repetitive investigative tasks.

The successful candidate will have experience in a security operations, incident response, service desk, or similar analytical role, with a sound understanding of common cyber threats, attack techniques, authentication, networking, endpoint security, and cloud environments. Familiarity with SIEM and security monitoring platforms, ticketing systems, threat intelligence, and standard incident response frameworks is highly desirable. You should be able to analyse technical information methodically, make informed decisions under pressure, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A strong attention to detail, a questioning mindset, effective prioritisation skills, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality are essential. Relevant industry certifications or formal training in cybersecurity, digital forensics, or incident management would be advantageous.
