Principal Vulnerability Researcher
We are seeking a Principal Vulnerability Researcher to lead advanced security research across complex software, hardware, and embedded environments. This role will focus on discovering, validating, and responsibly disclosing vulnerabilities that could affect critical systems and products. You will shape research priorities, develop innovative analysis techniques, and provide technical leadership to a team of experienced security researchers. The position requires a strong combination of offensive security expertise, curiosity, sound judgement, and the ability to turn complex findings into clear, actionable outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include conducting vulnerability research through reverse engineering, fuzzing, code review, binary analysis, and exploitation; designing bespoke tools and automation to improve research efficiency; and developing reliable proof-of-concept exploits in controlled environments. You will assess the practical impact and exploitability of findings, document technical results, and work with engineering and security stakeholders to support remediation. You will also contribute to threat modelling, security assessments, research strategy, internal knowledge sharing, and the development of technical standards and best practices. As a senior technical authority, you will mentor researchers, review methodologies, present findings to technical and executive audiences, and represent the research function in relevant professional communities.
Applicants should have substantial experience in vulnerability research, exploit development, or a closely related discipline, with a demonstrable record of identifying and analysing complex security flaws. Strong knowledge of operating systems, computer architecture, networking, and common vulnerability classes is essential, along with practical experience using debuggers, disassemblers, fuzzing frameworks, and security testing tools. Experience with C or C++, Python, assembly language, kernel or driver security, embedded systems, or hardware-assisted analysis would be highly valuable. You should be comfortable working independently on ambiguous problems while collaborating effectively across disciplines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a responsible approach to disclosure, and the ability to explain highly technical concepts to varied audiences are required.
