Enterprise Security Architect

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Security Architect to define and advance the security architecture strategy across a complex, multi-platform technology environment. This role will provide strategic direction, technical leadership and practical guidance to ensure that security is embedded into business services, applications, infrastructure and emerging technologies. You will work closely with technology, risk, compliance, engineering and business stakeholders to translate organisational objectives into secure, scalable and resilient architecture.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining enterprise security principles, standards, reference architectures and patterns; reviewing proposed solutions and identifying security risks, control gaps and opportunities for improvement; and ensuring that security requirements are incorporated throughout the solution and software development lifecycle. You will contribute to cloud, identity and access management, network security, data protection, application security, threat modelling, resilience and third-party risk initiatives. The role will also involve advising on security strategy, supporting risk assessments, communicating complex technical issues to senior audiences and helping to establish pragmatic remediation plans.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience in security architecture within large, distributed or regulated environments, together with a strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, security principles and modern technology platforms. Experience across public or hybrid cloud, zero-trust approaches, identity technologies, secure software development and information protection is highly desirable. You should be confident influencing stakeholders, challenging assumptions constructively and balancing security, usability, cost and delivery priorities. Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF or comparable qualifications are advantageous. Strong analytical, communication and documentation skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a changing environment.
