Cybersecurity Risk Analyst
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Risk Analyst to help identify, assess and manage information security risks across technology, business and third-party environments. In this role, you will support the development and maintenance of risk management practices that protect sensitive information, systems and services. You will work with stakeholders across the organisation to understand evolving threats, evaluate control effectiveness and promote practical, risk-based security improvements.
Your responsibilities will include conducting cybersecurity risk assessments, documenting findings and recommending appropriate remediation actions. You will monitor risk registers, track mitigation activities and prepare clear reports for senior stakeholders and governance forums. You will also support reviews of security controls against relevant policies, regulatory requirements and recognised frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST or CIS. The role may involve contributing to third-party and supplier risk assessments, assisting with audit and compliance activities, analysing security incidents for risk implications, and helping to develop key risk indicators and management information. You will be expected to maintain accurate records, challenge assumptions constructively and communicate complex security matters in a clear, accessible way.
The successful candidate will have experience in cybersecurity, information security, technology risk, audit or a related discipline, along with a sound understanding of risk assessment methodologies, security controls and governance principles. Familiarity with regulatory expectations, data protection requirements, vulnerability management and cloud or enterprise technologies would be beneficial. Professional qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001 or equivalent are desirable, though relevant practical experience will also be valued. You should be analytical, organised and confident working with people at different levels. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential. This is an opportunity to contribute to a proactive security culture while helping ensure that cyber risks are understood, owned and managed effectively.
