Group Head of AI Security Architecture
We are seeking an experienced Group Head of AI Security Architecture to define and lead the security architecture strategy for artificial intelligence, machine learning and generative AI capabilities across a complex, highly regulated environment. This senior role will establish secure-by-design principles for AI products, platforms and services, ensuring that innovation is supported by robust risk management, privacy safeguards, resilience and regulatory compliance. You will act as a trusted adviser to technology, data, engineering, product and executive stakeholders, translating emerging AI threats into practical architectural standards and investment priorities.
Key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining the enterprise AI security architecture framework, reference architectures, design patterns and control requirements. You will lead security reviews for AI use cases, models, applications and third-party services, covering issues such as data poisoning, prompt injection, model theft, adversarial attacks, insecure integrations, supply-chain risk, output handling and misuse of sensitive information. The role will also oversee threat modelling, risk assessments and assurance activities throughout the AI lifecycle, from experimentation and training through deployment, monitoring, retraining and retirement. You will contribute to governance forums, incident response planning, security testing and the continuous improvement of controls, tooling and operational processes.
The successful candidate will bring substantial experience in cybersecurity architecture, with demonstrable expertise in AI, machine learning or generative AI security. You should have a strong understanding of cloud platforms, application and data security, identity and access management, secure software development and relevant regulatory expectations. Experience establishing enterprise standards, influencing senior leaders and coordinating multidisciplinary teams across multiple regions is essential. Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills are required, together with the ability to explain complex technical risks clearly and make sound, proportionate decisions. Relevant professional certifications and knowledge of recognised security, privacy or AI risk frameworks would be advantageous. This is an opportunity to shape a forward-looking security capability and enable the safe, responsible and scalable adoption of AI.
