Threat Intelligence Analyst
We are seeking a Threat Intelligence Analyst to monitor, assess and communicate cyber threat activity affecting the organisation, its people, systems and wider industry. You will turn complex technical and open-source information into clear, actionable intelligence that supports security operations, risk management and business decision-making. The role requires strong analytical judgement, curiosity and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include collecting and analysing information from open-source, commercial, internal and dark web intelligence sources; tracking threat actors, campaigns, vulnerabilities, malware and emerging attack techniques; and producing timely intelligence reports, alerts, briefings and threat assessments. You will identify trends and indicators of compromise, maintain threat intelligence records and contribute to the development of detection and prevention recommendations. The role will also involve supporting incident response investigations, conducting tactical and strategic analysis, helping to develop threat profiles and mapping activity to recognised frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK. You will collaborate with security operations, vulnerability management, technology, risk and incident response teams to ensure intelligence is relevant and effectively applied.
Applicants should have experience in cyber threat intelligence, security analysis, incident response, digital investigations or a related discipline, together with a sound understanding of common cyber attack methods, threat actor behaviour and defensive security principles. Experience using intelligence platforms, SIEM tools, malware analysis resources, structured analytic techniques or automation and scripting languages such as Python will be advantageous. You should be able to evaluate the reliability of sources, distinguish meaningful threats from background noise and communicate findings concisely. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, a methodical approach and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential. Relevant professional certifications or formal qualifications in cybersecurity, intelligence analysis or a comparable subject are desirable.
