As a 24/7 SOC Analyst, you will play a key role in protecting critical systems, networks and data by monitoring security events across a continuously operated Security Operations Centre. Working as part of a collaborative shift team, you will identify, investigate and respond to potential threats, ensuring incidents are managed promptly and in line with established procedures. You will analyse alerts from SIEM, endpoint detection and response, network monitoring and other security tools, distinguishing genuine threats from false positives while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.

Your responsibilities will include triaging and investigating security incidents, documenting findings, escalating serious or complex events, and supporting containment, eradication and recovery activities. You will perform threat hunting and log analysis, correlate indicators of compromise, and contribute to incident reports and post-incident reviews. The role will also involve maintaining clear handovers between shifts, updating playbooks and knowledge bases, supporting vulnerability and threat intelligence activities, and identifying opportunities to improve monitoring rules, processes and operational resilience. You may liaise with infrastructure, engineering and service teams to coordinate effective responses and communicate technical information clearly to relevant stakeholders.

Applicants should have experience in a SOC, incident response, cyber defence or a similar operational security environment, together with a solid understanding of networking, operating systems, authentication, common attack techniques and security principles. Practical experience with SIEM platforms, EDR tools, ticketing systems and incident management processes is highly desirable. You should be analytical, calm under pressure and comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and a willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays, are essential. Relevant industry certifications or formal training in cybersecurity would be advantageous.
