Security & Compliance Specialist - Customer Experience

We are seeking a Security & Compliance Specialist to support a high-quality customer experience while strengthening the organisation’s information security, privacy and compliance practices. This role will act as a trusted partner to customer-facing, operational and technical teams, helping ensure that security requirements are understood, consistently applied and communicated clearly to customers and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include responding to customer security and compliance questionnaires, coordinating requests for policies, certifications, audit reports and supporting evidence, and assisting with security reviews during onboarding, renewals and procurement processes. You will maintain accurate records of customer assurance activities, monitor progress against agreed actions and help prepare clear, concise responses to security and privacy enquiries. The role will also contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, control documentation and customer-facing materials, while supporting internal and external audits, risk assessments and compliance reviews. You will work closely with technology, legal, privacy, risk, operations and customer teams to identify gaps, resolve issues and improve processes.

The successful candidate will have experience in information security, risk, compliance, privacy, assurance or a related customer-facing function. Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, GDPR or similar standards is desirable, along with the ability to interpret controls and translate technical information for non-technical audiences. Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent attention to detail and sound organisational abilities are essential. You should be comfortable managing multiple deadlines, handling sensitive information discreetly and working collaboratively across teams. A practical, customer-focused approach, a willingness to learn and the confidence to challenge constructively will be highly valued. Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in security, audit, privacy, risk or compliance would be advantageous.
