Information Security Manager
We are seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of information security practices across the organisation. This is a key role responsible for protecting information assets, managing cyber risk and ensuring that security remains aligned with business objectives, regulatory obligations and recognised industry standards.
You will develop and maintain information security policies, standards and procedures, ensuring they are communicated effectively and embedded across all areas of the business. You will oversee risk assessments, security reviews and control testing, identify areas for improvement, and provide clear recommendations to senior stakeholders. The role will also involve maintaining the information security risk register and reporting on key risks, incidents, performance indicators and remediation activity.
Working collaboratively with technology, compliance, legal, operational and third-party teams, you will coordinate responses to security incidents and support the investigation of suspected breaches. You will help maintain and test incident response, business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements, ensuring lessons learned are translated into practical improvements. You will also contribute to supplier assurance, access management, vulnerability management, security awareness and data protection initiatives.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in information security, cyber security, risk management or a closely related discipline, ideally within a complex or regulated environment. You will have a strong understanding of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST or CIS, together with knowledge of relevant data protection and regulatory requirements. Professional qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer would be advantageous.
You will be an excellent communicator, able to explain technical risks clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently, prioritise competing demands and influence positive security behaviours. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to organisational resilience and the protection of critical information.
