We are seeking an experienced Interim Third-Party Cyber Oversight Specialist to support the effective management of cyber security risks arising from suppliers, service providers and other external partners. In this role, you will help strengthen third-party assurance processes, provide informed risk assessments and ensure that external relationships meet applicable security, regulatory and contractual requirements. This is an interim opportunity suited to a practical professional who can quickly understand existing processes, identify gaps and deliver measurable improvements.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing supplier security documentation, assessments, certifications and control evidence; conducting risk-based due diligence for new and existing third parties; and evaluating areas such as access management, data protection, incident response, vulnerability management, resilience and business continuity. You will maintain accurate records of findings, risks, actions and exceptions, ensuring that issues are clearly documented, prioritised and tracked through to resolution. You will also support the development and continuous improvement of third-party cyber risk policies, procedures, assessment methodologies and reporting.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in third-party risk management, cyber security assurance, supplier governance or a closely related discipline. You should be confident interpreting security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS or equivalent, with a strong understanding of common cyber risks and control environments. Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as you will work with procurement, legal, technology, risk and business teams, as well as external suppliers. Experience using governance, risk and compliance platforms, producing executive-level reporting and managing remediation plans would be advantageous. The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver to tight timescales is essential for this interim position.
