Manager - CCDI (Centre for Cyber Defence & Intelligence)
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Manager to lead a Centre for Cyber Defence & Intelligence (CCDI). This role will provide strategic and operational leadership across cyber defence, threat intelligence, incident response, vulnerability management and security monitoring. The successful candidate will help strengthen organisational resilience by developing effective cyber security capabilities, improving security maturity and ensuring that risks are identified, assessed and managed appropriately.
Key responsibilities will include setting the centre’s direction, priorities and operating procedures; managing and mentoring a multidisciplinary cyber security team; coordinating the detection, investigation and response to cyber incidents; and overseeing the collection, analysis and communication of threat intelligence. You will work closely with technology, risk, governance and business stakeholders to translate technical risks into practical recommendations, support security architecture and control improvements, and ensure that cyber security initiatives align with organisational priorities. The role will also involve managing external partners, reviewing security performance, preparing reports for senior leadership, supporting audits and exercises, and maintaining awareness of emerging threats, technologies and regulatory expectations.
Applicants should have substantial experience in cyber security, cyber defence, security operations, threat intelligence or a closely related discipline, together with proven experience leading teams or complex security functions. A degree or professional qualification in cyber security, information technology, computer science or a related field is desirable. Strong knowledge of security operations, incident response, digital forensics, vulnerability management, risk assessment and relevant security frameworks is expected. The ideal candidate will combine sound technical judgement with excellent communication, stakeholder management and decision-making skills. Experience developing strategies, managing budgets, handling sensitive information and operating effectively during high-pressure incidents will be highly valued. Professional certifications in cyber security, security management or incident response would be advantageous.
