Software Development Engineer, IAM Stores Security
We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to help design, build, and operate secure, scalable identity and access management services for high-volume data stores. In this role, you will develop systems that protect sensitive information, enforce authentication and authorization policies, and provide reliable access controls across distributed applications and infrastructure. You will work closely with security specialists, platform engineers, service owners, and product stakeholders to translate complex requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing services, APIs, automation, and tooling that support identity lifecycle management, access provisioning, secrets protection, entitlement evaluation, auditability, and policy enforcement. You will contribute to architectural decisions, conduct design and code reviews, improve system performance and resilience, and troubleshoot production issues. The role also involves strengthening observability, testing, deployment, and operational processes, while identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities and compliance risks. You will help establish engineering standards and documentation that enable teams to use storage platforms safely and consistently.
The successful candidate will have professional experience developing production software in one or more languages such as Java, Python, Go, or C++, together with a strong understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, algorithms, APIs, and distributed systems. Experience with identity and access management concepts, including authentication, authorization, role-based access control, policy engines, encryption, key management, or secrets management, is highly desirable. Familiarity with cloud platforms, databases, infrastructure as code, containers, and continuous delivery practices will be beneficial. You should be comfortable working in an agile, collaborative environment, communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and taking ownership from design through operation. A security-focused mindset, strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to building dependable systems are essential.
