Qualifications include a proven background in DevOps and security practices, with certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar being highly desirable. Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and security tools is crucial, along with a solid understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks.
