VP Cyber Security Advisory and Validation
We are seeking an experienced and visionary professional to join our team as VP Cyber Security Advisory and Validation. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for shaping, leading, and evolving the cyber security advisory and validation function, ensuring that our organization remains at the forefront of cyber risk management and regulatory compliance. You will oversee a team of subject matter experts and work closely with business and technology stakeholders to assess, validate, and enhance the organization’s security posture through robust advisory services, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cyber security leadership, with significant experience in advisory, validation, and assurance activities within large and complex environments. You will drive the development and execution of security validation strategies, coordinate comprehensive security assessments, and support the implementation of best-in-class security controls. Key responsibilities include leading the design and delivery of cyber security frameworks, providing expert guidance on emerging threats, compliance, and industry standards, and fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization. You will also be accountable for reporting on security validation outcomes to executive leadership and ensuring that remediation actions are tracked and completed.
To succeed in this role, you should possess deep knowledge of cyber security frameworks (such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS), risk management methodologies, and regulatory requirements relevant to financial services or similarly regulated sectors. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential, as is the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are highly desirable, along with experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
