We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to help strengthen security across next-generation mobile devices. In this role, you will design, develop and maintain low-level software that protects device integrity, user data and trusted execution environments from evolving threats. You will work across boot security, secure firmware, hardware-backed key management, cryptographic services, trusted applications and platform resilience. Your responsibilities will include defining security architecture, implementing and reviewing embedded C/C++ code, analysing attack surfaces, investigating vulnerabilities and contributing to secure development, testing and release processes.
You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers, operating-system developers, security researchers and product teams to translate security requirements into reliable, production-ready solutions. You will participate in threat modelling, design reviews, code reviews and incident response activities, while helping establish engineering standards for secure coding, verification and long-term maintainability. The role may also involve developing prototypes, debugging complex issues across hardware and software boundaries, improving automated testing and supporting security assessments throughout the product lifecycle.
The successful candidate will have significant experience developing embedded or systems software in C or C++, along with a strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, concurrency, memory management and debugging tools. Experience with secure boot, trusted execution environments, hardware security modules, cryptography, vulnerability mitigation or embedded Linux is highly valued. You should be comfortable reading technical specifications, working with hardware interfaces and reasoning about security risks at both implementation and architectural levels. Strong communication skills, sound engineering judgement and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-moving environment are essential. A degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience, is expected.
