We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Security Engineer for a 12-month fixed-term contract to enhance our organization's security posture. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining security strategies and solutions that protect our systems and data. You will conduct risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices. Your expertise will be crucial in responding to security incidents, developing incident response plans, and coordinating recovery efforts.

In this role, you will also lead the design and deployment of security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols. You will provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of security awareness throughout the organization. Additionally, you will stay abreast of emerging threats and trends in cybersecurity, ensuring that our strategies remain proactive and effective. A strong understanding of network security, application security, and cloud security is essential, along with experience in security frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001.
