We are seeking an experienced Microsoft M365 Security Consultant for a 9-month contract, fully remote opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, designing, and implementing security solutions within the Microsoft 365 environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data across the organization. Daily tasks will include conducting security assessments, monitoring compliance with security policies, and providing recommendations for improvement.

Key responsibilities also include configuring security features within Microsoft 365, such as Conditional Access, Data Loss Prevention, and Microsoft Defender. The consultant will provide guidance on best practices and assist in the creation of security documentation, including incident response plans and user training materials. Additionally, you will stay updated with the latest security trends and threats specific to Microsoft 365, enabling proactive measures to protect the organization’s assets.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 security tools and features, along with relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals or similar credentials. Proven experience in a security consulting role, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders are essential.
