We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Consultant to provide expert advice, assurance and practical guidance across a range of information and cyber security initiatives. This role will work closely with stakeholders at all levels, helping to identify risks, strengthen security controls and support the delivery of secure, resilient services.

You will lead security assessments, architecture reviews, threat and risk analyses, vulnerability investigations and compliance activities. Responsibilities will include developing proportionate security recommendations, reviewing technical designs, supporting risk acceptance decisions and producing clear reports for both technical and non-technical audiences. You will also contribute to security policies, standards, procedures and improvement programmes, ensuring that they remain aligned with current threats and recognised industry good practice.

The role will involve collaborating with delivery, technology, governance and operational teams, as well as providing constructive challenge where required. You may support incident response, security testing, audit activity and the implementation of security controls across cloud, infrastructure, applications and data environments. A key part of the position will be influencing positive security behaviours and mentoring less experienced colleagues.

Applicants should have substantial experience in information or cyber security consultancy, with a strong understanding of security architecture, risk management, vulnerability management and control frameworks. Experience of cloud security, identity and access management, secure development practices and incident management would be advantageous. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, SABSA or equivalent are desirable.

You will need excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder-management skills, together with the confidence to explain complex issues clearly and make sound, proportionate recommendations. The successful candidate will be organised, pragmatic and comfortable managing competing priorities in a changing environment. Eligibility to undergo appropriate pre-employment screening may be required.
