We are seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to help protect business systems, networks, applications and data from evolving cyber threats. In this role, you will support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of security controls across the organisation’s technology environment. You will work closely with infrastructure, software development, service delivery and risk teams to identify vulnerabilities, reduce exposure and promote secure working practices.

Your responsibilities will include monitoring security alerts and events, investigating suspected incidents, supporting incident response activities and maintaining accurate documentation. You will conduct vulnerability assessments, coordinate remediation activities and contribute to penetration testing, security reviews and risk assessments. The role will also involve reviewing access controls, endpoint protection, network security, cloud configurations and logging capabilities to ensure that potential weaknesses are identified and addressed. You may assist with security awareness initiatives, policy updates, audit preparation and the development of clear reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Applicants should have proven experience in cyber security, information security, network security, vulnerability management or a related technical discipline. Familiarity with security monitoring and incident response tools, SIEM platforms, endpoint detection solutions, identity and access management, firewalls and cloud security principles is expected. Knowledge of recognised security frameworks, data protection requirements and common attack techniques would be advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate clearly, manage competing priorities and work collaboratively. Relevant industry certifications or professional qualifications are desirable, as is a proactive approach to learning and staying informed about emerging threats. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential, along with good written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with networking, operating systems, scripting, security principles or common cyber threats would be beneficial.
