We are seeking an experienced Assistant Security Operations Manager to support the effective delivery of day-to-day security operations across a busy, multi-site environment. Working closely with the Security Operations Manager, you will help lead a professional security team, maintain high service standards and ensure that all procedures are followed consistently. This is a hands-on role requiring sound judgement, strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive in challenging situations.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with the coordination of security officers, shift planning, duty allocations and operational briefings. You will monitor attendance, performance and compliance, provide guidance and coaching, and support the investigation and accurate reporting of incidents. You will also help maintain emergency response plans, conduct patrols and site inspections, review CCTV and access-control procedures, and ensure that risks, hazards and vulnerabilities are identified and addressed promptly. The role will involve liaising with internal stakeholders, contractors, emergency services and other relevant parties, while maintaining confidentiality and a professional approach at all times.
Applicants should have previous experience in security operations, preferably in a supervisory or team-lead capacity, together with a recognised security qualification or licence where required by local regulations. Experience of incident management, risk assessment, access control, CCTV systems and health and safety procedures is desirable. You must be organised, reliable and confident using written and electronic reporting systems, with the ability to produce clear and accurate documentation. A flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends or public holidays when required, is essential.
