We are seeking a Lead Cyber Security Engineer to design, implement and continuously improve security capabilities across a complex technology environment. In this role, you will provide technical leadership on cyber security initiatives, help define secure architecture principles and ensure that systems, applications, networks and cloud services are protected against evolving threats. You will work closely with engineering, infrastructure, development, risk and compliance teams to embed security throughout the technology lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include leading the assessment of security risks, developing mitigation plans and reviewing technical designs for adherence to security standards. You will guide the implementation of controls relating to identity and access management, network security, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, security monitoring and incident response. You will also support the investigation of security events, coordinate remediation activities and contribute to threat modelling, penetration testing and security assurance exercises. A key part of the position will be mentoring engineers, promoting secure-by-design practices and communicating complex risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in cyber security engineering, security architecture or a closely related discipline, together with a strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, operating systems, networks and common attack techniques. Experience with SIEM, EDR, IAM, vulnerability assessment and security automation tools is expected, as is knowledge of recognised frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST or CIS Controls. Relevant professional certifications are advantageous. You should be analytical, pragmatic and confident leading technical discussions, with the ability to manage priorities, influence stakeholders and deliver effective solutions in a fast-changing environment. Professional fluency in English is required; knowledge of French would be an advantage.
