We are seeking an experienced Lead Network and Cybersecurity Engineer to provide technical leadership across network infrastructure, information security and resilience. You will lead the design, implementation and maintenance of enterprise network and cybersecurity solutions, ensuring they meet operational, regulatory and business requirements. Responsibilities will include overseeing LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, VPN, cloud networking and remote-access services, as well as developing robust security controls across infrastructure and applications.

The role will involve managing security monitoring, vulnerability remediation, incident response and risk assessments. You will investigate complex technical issues, contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning, and ensure that changes are delivered safely through effective governance and documentation. You will also review emerging threats and technologies, recommending practical improvements to strengthen the organisation’s security posture.

As a technical lead, you will mentor engineers, coordinate with internal teams and suppliers, and provide clear advice to senior stakeholders. You will contribute to architecture standards, policies, technical roadmaps and audit activities, while ensuring solutions align with recognised cybersecurity frameworks and industry best practice.

Applicants should have substantial experience in network engineering and cybersecurity, with strong knowledge of routing and switching, firewalls, network segmentation, identity and access management, encryption, endpoint security and cloud platforms. Experience of security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS and vulnerability management platforms is desirable, together with a proven understanding of incident management and threat analysis.

Relevant professional certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, CCNA or equivalent experience, would be advantageous. You will need excellent problem-solving, communication and leadership skills, alongside the ability to manage competing priorities and explain complex technical matters to non-technical audiences. A proactive, collaborative approach and commitment to maintaining high standards of security and service delivery are essential.
