We are seeking a dedicated Data Protection Officer to oversee and ensure compliance with data protection regulations within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing data protection policies and procedures, ensuring that all data processing activities adhere to applicable laws and standards. You will serve as the primary point of contact for data subjects, addressing their inquiries and concerns regarding personal data processing and privacy rights. Additionally, you will conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate our data protection practices and identify areas for improvement.

Key responsibilities include monitoring compliance with data protection legislation, providing guidance and training to staff on data protection matters, and acting as a liaison with regulatory authorities. You will also be responsible for conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and ensuring that data breaches are reported and managed in accordance with legal requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data protection laws, such as GDPR, and have experience in risk management and compliance frameworks. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments are essential for this role.
