We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Manager to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of an organisation-wide cyber security programme. This role will be responsible for protecting information, systems and services against evolving threats while supporting business objectives and regulatory obligations. You will provide strategic direction, practical advice and effective leadership across security operations, risk management, governance and incident response.

Key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining cyber security policies, standards and procedures; managing security risk assessments and treatment plans; overseeing vulnerability management, penetration testing and security monitoring; and coordinating responses to cyber incidents. You will work closely with technology, compliance, audit and business teams to embed secure practices throughout the organisation. The role will also involve monitoring the threat landscape, preparing security reports for senior stakeholders, managing third-party security risks and supporting business continuity and disaster recovery planning. You may also be responsible for managing external security partners and contributing to security awareness and training initiatives.

Applicants should have substantial experience in cyber security, information security or a related discipline, including experience leading security programmes or teams. A strong understanding of security frameworks, risk management principles, incident response, identity and access management, cloud security and relevant data protection requirements is essential. Professional qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC or equivalent would be advantageous. You will be an effective communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to explain complex security matters clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgement, a proactive approach and the ability to influence stakeholders and deliver practical improvements in a changing environment.
