We are seeking an experienced ICT Technical Security Lead to provide expert direction across the design, implementation and ongoing management of secure information and communications technology environments. This is a key role for a technically strong security professional who can translate organisational risks into practical, resilient and proportionate controls. You will help protect critical systems, networks, data and services while supporting operational teams to deliver reliable and secure technology.

Your responsibilities will include leading technical security architecture and assurance activities; developing and maintaining security standards, policies and procedures; and assessing risks associated with infrastructure, applications, cloud services, networks and emerging technologies. You will coordinate vulnerability management, security monitoring, incident response and remediation activity, ensuring that threats are identified, investigated and addressed effectively. The role will also involve providing specialist advice on secure system design, access controls, encryption, configuration management, penetration testing and compliance requirements. You will work closely with technology teams, suppliers and senior stakeholders, clearly communicating complex security issues and recommending appropriate improvements.

Applicants should have substantial experience in ICT or cyber security, with a strong understanding of network, infrastructure and cloud security principles. You will ideally hold a relevant professional qualification or certification and be familiar with recognised security frameworks, risk management practices and data protection obligations. Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills are essential, together with the ability to prioritise competing demands and influence others in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgement, attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and reducing technical security risks.
