We are seeking a highly motivated Information / Cyber Security Analyst to join our dynamic team in Northampton. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for assessing and mitigating risks to our information systems and networks. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include monitoring network traffic for suspicious activity, conducting vulnerability assessments, and implementing security measures to protect sensitive data. You will collaborate with various departments to develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices that align with industry standards and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security frameworks and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols. You should possess excellent analytical skills, enabling you to identify potential threats and recommend appropriate countermeasures. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting security awareness training for employees, ensuring that all staff members are educated on security protocols and the importance of safeguarding company information. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be required to prepare reports for management and liaise with external stakeholders during security audits and incident response activities.

To be considered for this role, you should have a degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field, along with relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an information security role is preferred.
